Gloria Hendrix


Gloria "Beverly" Hendrix was called home on March 2, 2014. She fought a tough battle with breast cancer.  She was born in South Mills, to her late parents Hilda and Herman Edward McDonald. Waiting for her on the other side is her younger brother, Terry "Spud" McDonald.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Columbus "Buddy" Hendrix; three sons, Ron Christopher Hendrix, William Wallace Hendrix, and Garland Edward "Pete" Hendrix; three daughters, Kathy Hendrix Worley, Kimberly Hendrix Bray, and Rebecca Hendrix. Also ten grandchildren whom she loved more than anything, Christina, Bobby, T.J., Mary-Jane, Haley, Russell, Christopher, Trinity, William and Cody (Doodles). She was devoted to her family and friends. She will be missed more than any words can say. Please come as you are to say good-bye to one of world's best wife, momma, grandma and friend.  The service will be held at 11 a.m. in New Life Ministries, 8226 Main Street in Vanceboro, on Saturday, March 8, 2014.  Friends may send online condolences by visiting www.jimmysawyerfdl.com.  Jimmy D.
