Maya Alexander Obituary
ELIZABETH CITY - Maya Christine Alexander, 25, of 1009 Riley Drive, Elizabeth City, NC, died on June 12, 2016 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. Funeral on Saturday at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 12:00 noon. Rev. Michael Barclift, Pastor. Elder J.C. Purkett, Eulogist.
She was a graduate of Northeastern High School class of 2008 and was employed by Ramada Plaza Oceanfront. She was a loving mother, daughter, granddaugher, niece, sister and loyal friend. To know her was to love her.
Maya was the daughter of Nicole Alexander and Troy Eason, and the granddaughter of Maria Alexander Barner and the late Wagus Eason and Berince Carver Eason; and the great-granddaughter of Lemond Carver.
Other survivors include a son, Maurice Bowser Jr.; sisters Jasmine Alexander, Jasette Alexander, Kelis Alexander, G'Kyla Eason and Clinesha Turner; and brother Troyvon Eason; all of Elizabeth City. She was loved and will be missed by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation on Friday, June 17, 2016, 6-8 p.m. Service on Saturday at 12:00 noon. Burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements by Stallings Funeral Home, Elizabeth City. As published in The Daily Advance
