Phyllis Mansfield Obituary
ELIZABETH CITY - Phyllis Baccus Mansfield, 73 went to be with our Lord on December 14, 2016. Mrs. Mansfield, a native of Perquimans County, NC was the daughter of the late Johnnie and Maggie Winslow Baccus and the wife of fifty-three years to Samuel Frank Mansfield. She was a retired cosmetologist and past owner of Phyllis' Jewelry and Accessories.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Mansfield is survived by two daughters, Amanda Williams and husband Kevin of Elizabeth City and Diana Hamer of Chapel Hill; a sister, Pauline White and husband Dempsey of Vienna, VA; a brother, Aubrey Baccus and wife Hope of Hertford; and three grandchildren that she loved and adored tremendously, Jared Williams, Dylan and Melodie Hamer. She was predeceased by five brothers, Murray Odell, Lindsey Cephus, Hubert Adrian, Gilbert Wray and Marvin Carol and three sisters, Erma Leona, Lessie Mae and Ruby Virginia.
A private burial will be held with Pastor Preston Pitchford officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence of her daughter, Amanda Williams at 416 Firetower Road, Elizabeth City. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial gifts be given in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association Eastern NC Chapter, 3739 National Drive, Suite 110, Raleigh, NC 27612.

I was so very sorry to hear about the unfortunate passing of Phyllis. The picture shows me she was just as beautiful as I remember her being. Thoughts and prayers are with the entire family during this difficult time.
