Carol T. Parker of 1008 Bland St., Norfolk, Va. 23513 died Dec. 19, 2013 at 1008 Bland St., Norfolk, Va. Funeral services will be conducted at Samuel Chapel Baptist Church Friday Dec. 27, 2013 at 12 noon with the Rev. Claudia Bernard officiating and as eulogist. Burial will be in Cedar Wood Cemetery, Hertford. Stallings Funeral Home, Elizabeth City is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Parker was an employee of Dominion Power for 35 years and a member of Swing Phi Swing Social Fellowship. She was a graduate of Northeastern High School and of Elizabeth City State University. She is preceded in death by her husband Wayne Parker. Survivors include her father Allen Taylor and mother Nora S. Taylor; one son Vincent Tyrell Parker of Norfolk, Va.; one sister Vera (Jeffrey) Corlis Gardner of Charlotte; three brothers Preston Riddick of Norfolk, Va., Kevin (Jaunita) Taylor of Elizabeth City and Tony (Robin) Taylor of Raleigh; two nieces, Jessica Taylor and Jasmine Gardner; five nephews, Tony Taylor Jr., Justin Taylor, Christian Basnight, Jamaul Riddick and Jaremy Riddick; aunts, Lenora Spence, Evelyn Jackson, Janet Bower, Wilma Wright, Edna Wornell, Mary Barry, Lillian Dozier, Jennifer Skinner and Dorothy Skinner; Uncles, Eddie Bowers, William Skinner, Carlton Skinner, Michael Skinner and other hosts of relatives and friends. The family will receive family and friends at the parents resident 799 Trinkaloe Rd., Elizabeth City.
