Chablis Lenair Griffin, 22, of 1175 Millpond Road, Elizabeth City, died in Elizabeth City, Feb. 14, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Saturday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m. with Bishop David White officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Stallings Funeral Home, Elizabeth City, is in charge of arrangements. He attended Elizabeth City Public Schools. He was also a student at COA and attended River City Youth Build. He loved attending Believers Victory Center and New Birth Fellowship Church. He was a loving son, uncle, brother and friend. He is survived by his father, Cedric Lanier Griffin Jr.; mother, Jennetta Williams; nieces, Orian Williams, Kaziyah Mallory and Omari Williams; nephews, KaMarrion Brothers, Dominic Stallings Jr. and Terrill Jordan Jr.; sisters, Kashara Walston of Elizabeth City, Kanisha Walston of Elizabeth City, Mar'Asya Bowe of the home and Lynori Griffin of Newport News, Va.; brothers, Omar Williams of Elizabeth City, Kevin Walston Jr. (Tanya), Timothy Reid of Elizabeth City and Dewon Bouey of Indiana; uncles, Branson Williams, Glenn (Edith) Evans, Cori (Falicia) Griffin, all of Elizabeth City, Lester (Kathy) Evans of Camden and Damon Sawyer of Riverhead, N.Y.; aunts, Yvette Greene of Fayetteville, Monica Evans of Virginia Beach, Va., Kimberly (Darly) Dendy of Elizabeth City; God sisters, Tashema Riddick, Jonshae Williams, and Corvanne Griffin; God brother, King Commander; maternal grandparents, Emma Williams; paternal grandparents, Savonne Griffin and Cedric Griffin Sr. He was preceded in death by brother, Marcel D. Bowe; and grandfather, Rudolph Williams.
