Barco resident

Florence T. Cooper, 64, of 123 Little Joes Ln., Barco, died at her residence, Barco, July 21, 2013. Funeral services will be held at Currituck County Middle School, Barco, Saturday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Kenneth Moore and Elder TJ Etheridge and Pastor Racheal Liverman officiating. Burial will be in the Ferebee Family Cemetery, Shawboro. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Stallings Funeral Home, Elizabeth City, is in charge of arrangements. Ms. Cooper was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Senior Citizens, and was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. She was the daughter of the late John Garfield Ferebee and the late Luella Trotman. Survivors include three daughters, Nita Cooper (David), Nacita Cooper, both of Barco and special daughter, Sonia Darden of Grandy; one God son, Kevin Skinner; sisters-in-law, Annie Ferebee, Iris Ferebee, Marie Ferebee, Louise Cooper, Mary Hayward Bryant, Kimberly McPherson (Rev. Eddie), Alva Cooper, Dollie Jean Davis, Hester Cooper and Cathy Cooper; brothers-in-law, Donald Cooper (Channon), Winfred Cooper (Selena) and Rev. Melvin Cooper (Delores); five grandchildren, Martell Cooper, Faustin Pierre and Miguel Cooper, all of Barco and Randy Lamb and Joy Darden, both of Grandy; one great-granddaughter, Phoebe Darden of Grandy; a special friend, Carl B. Cooper; and other family and friends.
