Kermit Winslow Jr., (known as Diddy by some and Shuckey), 58, died March 29, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at Riddick Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Saturday at noon with Pastor Millie Jordan officiating. Viewing will be at 11 a.m. 1 hour prior to service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Stallings Memorial Chapel, Hertford, is in charge of arrangements. Kermit worked as a carpenter for many different people and he was very good at what he did. He lived his life to the fullest. He brought joy, fun and laughter to those who knew him. He joined the Riddick's Grove Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Kermit R. Winslow Sr. and the late Claddie Lee Hunter Overton Winslow. Survivors include two daughters, Tomeika M. Outland and Alvita P. Winslow of Edenton; five sisters, Sarah Eason, Velma Boone, Ethel Boone, Thelma Ward and Zelma Winslow; one brother, Melvin Winslow; one sister-in-law, Delores Winslow; foster sister, Delores Hurdle; three brothers-in-law, Louis, Isaiah and Thomas; two uncles; one aunt; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
