Margie Evans Seymore, 66, of 179 Dozier Road, Moyock, died at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, Chesapeake, Va., Sunday, May 11, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at The Mount at the Chapel of Chesapeake, Va., Friday, May 16, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Bishop Kim Brown as Pastor and Overseer Malissa Dukes as Eulogist. Burial will be in the Seymore Family Cemetery, Maple. Viewing will be held today at Good Hope A.M.E. Zion Church, Sligo, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home deceased.
Dennis J. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home, Gatesville, is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Seymore was the daughter of the late Linwood Lee Evans Sr. and the late Gracie White Evans and was the wife of the late Rudolph Seymore.
Survivors include two daughters, Erica Seymore Hamer of Durham and Adrianna Palmer-Seymore of the home; three sons, Rudolph C. Seymore Jr. (Regina) of Camden, Vincent L. Seymore (Robin) of Chesapeake, Va. and Ryan C. Seymore (Kenisha) of Moyock; four sisters, Malissa Dukes (Rozelle), Rena Dean, Gracie Young, all of Delaware and Fay Evans Christian of Chesapeake, Va.; one brother, Jimmy Evans (Virginia) of Delaware; and nine grandchildren.
