Mary Jane Woodward Germann, 91, of 1006 Sound Shore Drive, died Monday, Jan. 17, at Chowan Hospital Skilled Unit.
Mrs. Germann was born in Southern Pines, a daughter of the late Anne Louisa Lee Woodward and Eugene Worth Woodward and was married to the late Bernard Germann. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was in the Society of Mayflower Descendents and the National Society of Colonial Dames of the XVII century.
Surviving Mrs. Germann is a son-in-law, Paul Francis McLean Jr, of Arlington, Va.; two grandchildren, Laura Westcott McLean Raines and her husband, Daniel, of Manassas, Va. and Paul Francis McLean III of Stafford, Va.; five great-grandchildren, Sean Raines, Kathleen Raines, Cameron McLean, Douglas McLean and Catherine McLean. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Westcott Clinton; and her daughter, Diane Worth Clinton McLean; and a brother.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.evansfac.com. The family has suggested that, in lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be sent to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 101 W. Gale Street, Edenton, NC 27932.
