Raymond Franklin Moore, 76, of Vauxhall, N.J., died Oct. 16, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Friday at 1 p.m. with Bishop David White as Eulogist and Pastor Dr. Michael Barcliff officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the church at 11 a.m. two hours before the service. The family will receive family and friends at 3345 Main St. Ext., Elizabeth City.
Stallings Funeral Home, Elizabeth City, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Moore was born in Elizabeth City. Mr. Moore lived in Newark. He was a member of the Long Shoreman's local 1233. He was employed by the Sealand Steam Ship Company at Port Newark, N.J. for 41 years.
He was the son of the late Milford Franklin Moore and the late Pocahontan Griffin Moore.
Survivors include two sisters, Cloyte Vaughn of New Jersey and Minnie Moore of Georgia; one niece, Cheryl Vaughn; nephew, Darryl Vaughn; great-nieces, Nefertiti Cooper and Darra Vaughn.
He also leaves a host of other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
