Nags Head resident
Beloved husband, brother, and uncle Sean Charles Boyle died unexpectedly on April 8, 2010.
Born Oct. 8, 1959, in West Lafayette, Ind., the youngest son of John (Jack) Boyle and Connie Boyle, both late of Nags Head, and originally living in Peru, Ind.
Sean graduated from Saint Charles, Borremeo Grade School in Peru, Ind., in 1971. He attended Peru Junior High School in 1972-1974 and graduated from Peru High School in 1978. During his four years of high school, Sean was a member of the varsity tennis team, playing both singles and doubles, and going to the state final four all four years. He earned his bachelor of Civil engineering degree from Notre Dame University in 1982.
During college Sean rowed crew, which was a club sport at Notre Dame. He participated in the Head of the Charles Race, in Boston, Massachusetts during those years.
Following graduation, Sean briefly worked at Bates & Rogers in South Bend, Ind. He than moved to the Outer Banks to join his parents and in 1985 and began working as an engineer at Quible & Associates in Kitty Hawk, N.C.
In 1997, Sean and two partners purchased Quible & Associates from F. Richard Quible.
In 2007, Sean met the love of his life, Jo Eure of Currituck County. Sean and Jo were married at their home in Nags Head on July 18, 2009. They spent nine months in total and complete happiness never being apart.
In addition to his wife, Sean is survived by his beloved Great Dane Simone, a brother Daniel Falk Boyle and spouse Dr. Addrienne Stewart of Denver, Colo.; and their children, Stewart Falk Boyle, Ian Rutledge Boyle, and Haliee Elise Boyle. Also survived by his sister, Christine Anne Boyle of Nags Head, and niece Mary Danielle Boyle of Norfolk, Va. In addition, Sean is survived by his stepsons, Benjamin Aruther Eure and Jerry Carlton Eure of Gatesville, N.C.
Sean will be greatly missed by the Notre Dame community, the Quible Family, and many friends too numerous to mention. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, at the Town of Southern Shores Cemetery. Immediately following, friends are invited to raise a Guinness to Sean at the family home.
