James R. Figgs Jr.

HOBBSVILLE - James Raleigh Figgs, Jr., 67, of 40 Jenkins Lane, Hobbsville, NC, died Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Sentara Leigh, Norfolk, VA.

A funeral will be held at Dennis J. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home, Gatesville, NC on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the Figgs Family Cemetery, Hobbsville, NC. Dennis J. Stallings Memorial Funeral Home, Gatesville, NC is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Figgs was the son of the late James Raleigh Figgs, Sr. and Wayley (Rachel) Figgs, and the husband of Lisa Beasley Figgs of the home. He is also survived by three daughters, Sylvia Williams (Lorenao) of Ahoskie, NC, Shaeasha Beasley of Hobbsville, NC and Teresa Beasley of Edenton, NC; two sons, James Figgs of Hobbsville and Phillip J. Figgs (Tanilla Williams) of Portsmouth, VA; two sisters, Carolyn Kirsky (Neal) of Elizabeth City, NC and Haley Curry of NY; four brothers, Harold Figgs and Winfred Figgs (Sue) both of NY, Larry Figgs (Shirleen) of Corapeake, NC and Thomas Figgs (Nancy) of Gatesville, NC.; and two grandchildren.
