HALL, EVELYN - Greenville  
GREENVILLE — Evelyn Emma Hall "Grandma," age 97, of Greenville passed away peacefully with her family at her side at 3:29 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, at Village Green Healthcare Center in Greenville. Evelyn was born Jan. 3, 1917, in Darke County to the late Alonzo and Dora (Hunt) Holsopple. Evelyn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lois J. and Wilbur Hoblit of Greenville; son, Larry K. Hall and special friend, Kelly of Kettering; grandchildren, Wayne Hoblit, Elaine and Junior Cotterman, Scott and Sherry Hall and Steve and Annette Hall; great-grandsons, Brian, Erick, Jeremy, Adam, Tyler and Aaron; brother, Ronnie Holsopple of Greenville; sister, Betty Vietor of Greenville; and the love of her life, her dog, Snuggles. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hall on July 25, 2006, whom she married Aug. 30, 1934; grandson, Todd Hoblit; and sister, Arlene Holsopple. Evelyn was a member of the Greenville Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and the Greenville Moose. She loved fishing, playing cards, dancing and traveling, especially to Hawaii. There will be no public services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Abbottsville Cemetery in Darke County. Memorial contributions may be made to the Darke County Humane Society, 7053 State Route 49 North, Greenville, Ohio 45331. HARTLEY, JAMES - Greenville  
GREENVILLE — James "Dood" M. Hartley, 74, of Greenville, and formerly of Somerset, Kentucky, passed peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014, at Heartland of Greenville. James was born in New Castle, Indiana, on May 25, 1940, the son of the late Marvin Earl and Virginia Christine (Godsey) Hartley. Dood was a truck driver for Sunoco and Producer, Dayton, retiring in 2005. He was preceded in death by an infant sister Carolyn Sue Hartley. Mr. Hartley is survived by three daughters, Vicky (Ralph) Hileman of New Madison, Carolyn (Jeff) Lawson of Arcanum, and Jackie (Ralph Runner) Hartley of Greenville; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister JoAnn Norfleet of Science Hill, Kentucky. Funeral services will be private at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum, with Chaplain Candi Null officiating. Burial will follow in Ithaca Cemetery.
