Blaine A. Pearson

UNION CITY, Ohio - Blaine A. Pearson, 78, of Union City, Ohio, died April 1, 2013, at his residence.

He was born April 5, 1934, in Jay County, Ind., son of the late Jesse and Mary Garringer Pearson. Also preceding him in death was a son, Allan Pearson, in 1976.

He was an electrician at Westinghouse A.O. Smith and Artec of Gettysburg.

A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a member of First Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, Sunday school teacher and a trustee.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Kathryn "Kay" Miles Pearson; children, Wayne Pearson of Union City, Ind., and Lyle M. Pearson of Union City, Ohio; granddaughter, Mara Pearson; brothers Herbert and Raymond Pearson; and a sister, Mary Ellen Cromas.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Reichard Funeral Home, Inc., Union City, Ind., with the Rev. Jim Meredith and Speaker Richard Post officiating. Burial will be in Union City Cemetery.
