GREENVILLE - Cris E. Miller, age 65, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Dec. 24, 2013, at 1:07 p.m. at Reid Hospital, Richmond, Ind.
He was born Jan. 7, 1948, in Greenville, Ohio, the son of the late Lloyd Miller and Reola (Coates) Miller Dunevant.
He served in the United States Navy in Japan during the Vietnam War. He retired from Darke Rural Electric where he worked in the billing department. He attended First Presbyterian Church; was a 1966 graduate of Greenville High School; he earned an associate's degree from Edison Community College; he enjoyed gardening, reading and music and loved the outdoors.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister: Carole Yount.
He is survived by his wife: Helen (Plessinger) Miller, of Greenville whom he married April 3, 1971; his children and spouses: David and Denise Miller of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dan and Amy Miller of Columbus, Ohio, and Emily and Pius Piedu of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren: Anna and Claire Miller, Elizabeth, and Audrey Miller, and Parker Piedu; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Rev. Dr. John Person officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery.
