Gerald D. "Jerry" McClellan

HOLLANSBURG - Gerald D. "Jerry" McClellan, 51, of Hollansburg, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2013, at Wayne Hospital in Greenville.

Jerry was born on Nov. 30, 1961, in Richmond, Ind., to Patty (Varvel) Louk of Winchester, Ind., and the late Earl Edward McClellan Jr.

Jerry loved fishing, NASCAR - especially Dale Earnhart Jr. and Sr., going to the casino boats and playing poker. He was a 1980 graduate of Mississinawa High School, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and Amvets of Eldorado. Jerry made the best fudge and loved cooking. He was a great brother, son and had the biggest heart for people.

In addition to his mother, Jerry is survived by his fiancée, Diane Pace of Greenville; four brothers, Ron McClellan of Winchester, Fred McClellan of Kentucky, Mark and Barb McClellan of Indiana and Mike and Wendy McClellan of Liberty, Ind.; two sisters, Shirley and Rob Cummoms of Richmond, Ind., and Tammy and Jim Suttles of Winchester, Ind.; stepchildren, Bobbie Sue Hampshire, Sam Billups, Eran Woodyard, Ricky and Kristina Pace, Brandy and Brian Stahl, Angie Pace and Breanna Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Braund Pope Funeral Home, New Madison, with Pastor Tony Price being asked to officiate.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery in New Madison, Ohio.
