James O. Smith

GREENVILLE - James O. Smith, age 75, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at 5:01 p.m. Jan. 22, 2013, at his residence.

Jim was born Oct. 15, 1937, in Wayne County, Ind., and the son of the late Lawrence and Alice (Smith) Kiser.

He retired in 2001 from Whirlpool Corporation of Greenville where he had worked for 13 years.

Jim was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army-National Guard, a member of the Richmond, Indiana Moose Lodge, Covington, Ohio Eagles Lodge and loved woodworking, race cars and camping.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara DeBoard and Doris Kay Kiser.

Jim is survived by his children Rick and Tresia Smith of Gettysburg and Michelle and Greg Mader of Greenville. Grandchildren Terri Razzano, Meagan Mader, Justin Mader and Stephenie Cunningham. Great-grandchildren Zoe Razzano and Katlynn Daughtery. Brothers and sisters-in-law Lawrence "Sham" and Marsha Kiser of Union City, Ohio, William and Mabel Kiser and Mike Kiser all of Greenville. A special friend Frances Jackson of Bradford, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private memorial gathering will be held at the convenience of the family in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio.
