Joan J. Baker

GREENVILLE - Joan J. Baker, age 77, of Greenville, died Dec. 2, 2012, at Versailles Health Care Center.

She was born June 6, 1935, in Darke County, Ohio, to the late Robert Cleo and Bernice Alberta (Johnston) Good; a graduate of Arcanum High School, Class of 1952; and a member of Pleasant Hill Church of God.

Preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Helen Jean Smith.

Joan is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donnie Dean Baker; son, Larry Dean Baker of Greenville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and David Gibson of Pleasant Hill and Martha Sue and Tom Baker of Greenville; foster son, Tony and his wife, Sherri Baker of Indiana; 10 grandchildren and their spouses, Jason and Kim Gibson of Iowa, Daniel and Tammie Gibson of Troy, Amanda Baker and friend, Brian Houpt of Vandalia, Michael and Laura Baker of Virginia, Tony and Sarah Baker of Arcanum, Scott and Shiloh Baker of Springboro, Jon and Trisha Baker of Nebraska, Jodi Baker of Greenville, Levi Baker of Dayton, and Amy Baker of Troy; 14 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Robert Lee and Linda Good of West Manchester; brother-in-law, Robert Smith of Arcanum; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Pleasant Hill Church of God with Pastor Scott Deane officiating. Interment Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington.
