ARCANUM - Ruby C. Baker, 94, of rural Arcanum died early morning Nov. 30, 2013, at Wayne Hospital, Greenville.

Ruby had resided at the Brethren Retirement Community for the last three years. She was born June 12, 1919, in Monroe Township, Darke County, to the late Harvey and Minna (Fourman) Wertz. Ruby was retired from the former Frigidaire, Dayton working in data processing. She was a member of the Pitsburg Church of the Brethren and the OES.

She is survived by her son, Jack (Marilyn) Baker of Bradford; three grandchildren Chris, Terri and Angie; nieces Phyllis (Gerald) Michaels, Connie Shaffer, and Bonnie Smith; great-nieces Brenda Dickman and Debbie Gillum and great-nephew Steve Michaels.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Kreitzer Funeral Home in Arcanum with Pastor Ken Oren officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour before the service.
