GREENVILLE - Alice Mae (Hunt) Garland, age 70, Greenville, Ohio, passed away on April 26, 2014, at 4:10 a.m. at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center.

She was born Nov. 2, 1943, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Early Clay and Grace Helen (Bohanan) Hunt. She was a homemaker and a member of Women of the Moose Lodge # 329 and American Legion Post # 140.

She is preceded in death by her parents; grandson: CJ; brothers and sisters: Clarence Hunt, Jewel Hunt, Tom Hunt, Clarine Wargo, Pauline Lowery, and Earl Hunt.

She is survived by her husband: Lewis Garland of Greenville; children and spouses: Dan Chapman and Dawn Hope of Greenville, Mary Kniesly and Kenny Carter of Greenville, Ruthlee and Ed Rehmert of Greenville, Charles Chapman of Greenville, and Rusty and Chris Chapman of Powell, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters: Juanita Lowe of Dayton, and Leota Kroeger of Illinois; brother: Bob Hunt of Tennessee; close family friend: Karen Sue Schneider; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday with a short service being held at 7 p.m. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Tim Hamilton officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice Condolences for the family may be expressed through www.zecharbailey.com
