ARCANUM - Robert H. Colville, 74, of Arcanum, died Jan. 13, 2013, at Wayne Hospital, Greenville.

Robert was born near Arcanum on Feb. 7, 1938, the son of the late Howard and Hazel (Hefelfinger) Colville.

He was a member of Castine Church of the Brethren. Bob was a tool and die maker for several tool shops throughout the Dayton area, retiring in 1998 from General Motors in Dayton.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Rinehart) Colville, whom he married Jan. 11, 1959; daughters Roberta Brown of Arcanum and Brenda (Mike) Johnson of West Manchester; grandchildren Abby (Brad) Houdashelt, Kayla (Joe) Price, Zach Johnson, Leandra (Eric) Myers, and Alex (Missy) Johnson; great-grandchildren Jaden, Elias, and Corban Houdashelt, Jackson and Aubrey Price, and Timothy Johnson; brother Donovan (Nancy) Colville of Lewisburg.

He was active in his church and in the community, was helpful to neighbors and friends, and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed participating in sporting events through the years, softball, horseshoes, bowling, golf, cornhole, and dartball.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Castine Church of the Brethren, Castine, with Pastor Greg Hyre officiating. Burial will follow in Castine Cemetery.

The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. and Thursday one hour before the time of services at the church. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Castine Church of the Brethren Life Center, 624 U.S. Route 127, Castine, Ohio 45304. Condolences may be sent to
