NORTH STAR - Alfred Eilerman, age 83, of North Star, Ohio, passed away on Jan. 4, 2013, at his residence.
He was born on Dec. 13, 1929, to the late Bernard and Elizabeth Keiser Eilerman.
He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in North Star and a member of the Holy Name Men's Society of the Church. A member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Henry Council 2640. He served two years in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and a member of the American Legion Post 174. A dairy farmer/construction worker for 20 years and a past member of the National Farmers Organization and owner for 20 years of Nebula Fitness Center in Versailles, Ohio.
On Jan. 28, 1953, he married Joann Moeller in St. Bernard Catholic Church in Burkettsville, Ohio, and she survives in North Star, Ohio. Alfred is survived by two children. Betty and Thomas Welsch, Wapakoneta and Thomas and Marge Eilerman of Versailles. Seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren. One sibling, Eleanor Liette of Monterey, Ind. In-laws Andrew Moeller of Burkettsville, Jerome and Armella Moeller, Thomas and Mary Moeller of Ft. Loramie, Mary Lou Eilerman of New Weston, Velma Moeller of Coldwater, Jim and Esther Moeller of Springfield and Susan and Leroy Unrast of Wilcox, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by daughter Mary Lynch, brothers Father Herbert Eilerman, Father William Eilerman, Joseph and Olivia Eilerman, Bernard Eilerman., in-laws Algar Moeller and Viola Moeller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church on Monday at 10:30 a.m. with Father David Zink officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Louis Cemetery in North Star.
