Annabel M. Enicks, age 88, of Greenville, Ohio, passed on Sept. 29, 2012, at 3:39 p.m. at the Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville, Ohio.
She was born on July 21, 1924, in Darke County, Ohio, to the late Walter and Clara (McKibben) Davenport.
She is survived by her children, Gerald "Jerry" and Diana Enicks of Greenville, Judith and Gary Voke of Greenville, and Ronald Enicks of Celina, Ohio; grandchildren, Barbara (Eugene) Shuret, Lonnie (Susan) Voke, Brenda (Jeff) Hines, Tamy (Vince) Metzcar, Darrin (Heather) Voke, Desi Hardwick, Becky (Michael) Smith, Wade (Linda) Enicks, Tabitha Enicks, and Tiffany Enicks; 22 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dorotha Eliker of Greenville; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Heiser of Greenville and Emma Enicks of Greenville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Enicks, whom she married on Oct. 19, 1942; and sister, Helen Davenport.
Annabel was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church and Greenville Area Dog Club. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting.
There will be a service held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Joe Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
