Edwin Arthur "Ed" Buzard

GETTYSBURG - Edwin Arthur "Ed" Buzard, age 81, lifetime resident of Gettysburg, Ohio, died Dec. 3, 2012, at his home.

Ed was born Sept. 16, 1931, in Phillipsburg, Ohio, to the late Mary (Buzard) Hart; a graduate of Gettysburg High School, Class of 1950; a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War; a past commander and life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #7262, Greenville; life member of AMVETS, Post #66, Covington; retired after 35 years of service from Inland Steel; and he enjoyed model railroading and loved his family.

Preceded in death by his mother; his grandparents who raised him, John and Liza Buzard; grandson, Clayton Buzard; and great-grandson, Justin Wogerman.

Ed is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty (Bey) Buzard; three sons and daughters-in-law, Edwin Joseph and Linda Buzard of Covington, Daniel W. Sr. and Trixie Buzard of St. Henry, James Robert and Darlene Buzard of Gettysburg; daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and Larry Calvert Jr. of Greenville; eight grandchildren; 10 and one on the way great-grandchildren; and good friends, Gene and Barb Landis of Greenville.
