Esta W. Arnett

MONTAGUE - Esta W. Arnett, age 88, died Dec. 22, 2012.

He was born March 14, 1924, in Greenville, Ohio, to George and Eva (Studebaker) Arnett.

Esta proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked at Aerovent Inc. in Ohio and was a member of Ferry Memorial Reformed Church in Montague.

On Dec. 13, 1969, he married the former Esther Hall. Mr. Arnett was an active member and past president of the White Lake Area Sportfishing Association.

He was preceded in death by two children, Albert and Edward; a sister, Phyllis Broderick; and a brother, Dick Arnett.

Surviving are his wife, Esther; his children, Larry (Linda) Arnett, Beverly Eller, Melvin (Becky) Swiger, Sue Bowling, Pamela (Steve) Dull, Debra Stanley, George (Grace) Arnett, Timothy (Judy) Arnett and Sherri (Gary) Coller; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, June Lawrence.

The service was Saturday at the church in Montague. Memorial contributions may be made to the endowment fund of White Lake Area Sportfishing Association, Box 157, Montague 49437 or memorial fund of Ferry Memorial Reformed Church, 8669 Old Channel Trail, Montague 49437.
