GREENVILLE - Clyde Goins, 87, of Greenville, formerly of Arcanum and Eaton, died early the morning of Oct. 16, 2013 at Brethren Retirement Community.
Mr. Goins was born in Lanier Township, Preble County on June 25, 1926, the son of the late George and Lulu (Bell) Goins. He was a member of Abbottsville United Methodist Church. Mr. Goins was a retired employee of Frigidaire and Delco Moraine, Dayton. He was a member of the Armed Forces and a former member of the VFW.
Clyde was preceded in death by four sisters, Jeannette Fourman, Mildred Banta, Dorothy Pearce, and Bonnie Shelley, and a brother, Roy Goins.
He is survived by his wife Inez (Hone) Goins, whom he married Sept. 6, 1947; three daughters, Linda (Robert) Farmer of Greenville, Diane (Rev. Gerald) Keegan of Hillsville, Penn., and Louise (Bob McCauley) Wiesman of Belpre, Ohio and a son, David (Shirley) Goins of Norfolk, Va.; grandchildren, Joe (Mary) Arnett, James Arnett, Jeremy (Sarah) Keegan, Keegan (Eric) Spera, Dannielle Campbell, Nicole Hancock, Matt (Mary) Baker, Cody Wiesman, Alexandria Goins; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen (Glen) Eley of Arcanum.
Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum with Pastors Chris Harris and Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in Ithaca Cemetery.
