James "Jim" Wolfe

LIMA - James "Jim" Wolfe, 75, died at 10:15 a.m. Dec. 23, 2012, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 16, 1937, in Arcanum to Chalmer and Mareda (Houdeschell)) Wolfe. On May 1, 1979, he married Linda Battles, who survives.

Mr. Wolfe retired in 2008 after 30 years of service as a pipefitter project manager for Ford Motor Company. He worked on the road prior to working at Ford. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed riding his motorcycle and gardening. He was a drill instructor at Parris Island, S.C., while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Survivors also include two sons, Michael (Karyn) Wolfe of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Scott (Cindy) Wolfe of California; two daughters, Tracy Wolfe of Bellefontaine and Amy (Rick) Wilson of Lima; three stepdaughters, Lisa Partridge of Dublin, Angela Partridge of Lancaster and Lori Partridge of Chicago; a brother, Jerry (Sue) Wolfe of Heath; three sisters, Norma Shultz of Scottsdale, Ariz., Barbara (LeRoy) Lennen of Greenville and Dianna Brown of Florida; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and one stepgrandson. He was preceded in death by a previous spouse, Carolyn Crissinger.

There will not be a service. The cremated remains will be buried at a later date. The Shawnee Chapel of Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes handled the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children's Hospital or St. Rita's Hospice.
