PEARLAND, Texas - Judith Ann Harter, age 63, of Pearland, Texas, died July, 2013, at the Memorial Hermann Continuing Care Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Judy was born Dec. 28, 1949, in Greenville to parents Harold W. and Zella R. Davis Harter. She was preceded in death by her mother, Zella R Harter, infant brother William, her father Harold W. Harter and wife Helen, brothers David W. Harter and Robert D. Miller.
Soon after graduating from Westmont High School in Hollansburg she moved to the Houston, Texas, area where she raised her children and resided until the time of her death. She was a homemaker and taught women's Bible study. She also enjoyed studying the Bible, scrapbooking, helping others, and spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends.
She is survived by her loving family: daughters Tyann Lee and husband Sean of Pearland, Texas, and Dava Glatfelter and husband Bobby of Dayton, Texas; sisters Karen Sullivan and husband Jim of Jamestown, Ohio, and Janet Black of New Madison; and brother Ron Miller and wife Aldene of Carmichael, Calif..; grandchildren Craig Neale and wife Brittany, Rhett Neale, Brent Cone and wife Brittany, Chad, Ellie, and Laney Glatfelter, all of Dayton, Texas, and Ryan Lee of Pearland, Texas; great-granddaughter, Audrey Cone and a "baby Neale" on the way along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside services will be held in Palestine Cemetery on July 20 at 10 a.m. followed by a gathering of friends and celebration of Judy's life in the fellowship center at the Palestine Church of Christ in Palestine. Pastor Mike Simmons will officiate the service.
