GREENVILLE - Laura Brown, 89, of Greenville, died late night Sept. 26, 2013, at Heartland of Greenville.
Mrs. Brown was born in Millport, Ala., on July 15, 1924, the daughter of the late William Charlie and Velma (Vails) Shaw.
She was a homemaker and mother.
Mrs Brown was preceded in death by her husband, James Brown, who died Jan. 16, 1999; two, sons Harold and John Rhodehamel; two stepdaughters, Wilma Harris and Patricia Brown; two sisters, Dorothy Mordecia and Charleen McDaniels; and two brothers William Moucha and Winstin Moucha. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Ann Miller of Greenville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11 a.m. on Monday at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum, with Pastor Darryl Peeples officiating. Burial will follow in Ithaca Cemetery.
