MIDDLEBURY, Ind. - Morris J. Jones, 84, of Middlebury, Ind., passed away Jan. 18, 2013, at 8:20 p.m. at Eastlake Terrace.

He was born on Feb. 14, 1928, to Claude and Treva (Vinning) Jones.

He married Lydia L. Williamson on March 20, 1950 in Richmond, Ind. She survives along with three sons, Wesley of Elkhart, Douglas of Columbus, Ohio, and Randall (Anne) Jones of Bristol; two daughters, Karen (Chris Wolfe) Jones of Bristol and Teresa (Tom) McFall of Ellisville, Ind.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Roberta (Melvin) Gerstner of Union City, Ind.

He was preceded in death by a son, Craig Jones, a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Marlene Jones and a sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Joe Graham.

Mr. Jones was operations manager for Dometic Sales, Inc. for many years. He also owned Midwest Eastern Transport and Metropolitan Real Estate. Being born in Ohio he was an Ohio State University and Cincinnati Reds fan. He graduated from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio with a bachelor of arts degree. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict as a medical corpsman.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Harbor Light Hospice. Visit to share a memory with the family.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing in Elkhart. Burial will take place inRice Cemetery at a later date.
