ST. MARYS - Norman R. Thiebeau, 73, of 14198 Glynwood-New Knoxville Road in St. Marys, Ohio, died 9:20 a.m. Oct. 10, 2013, at St. Marys Living Center.

He was born Nov. 13, 1939, in Versailles, Ohio, to Robert and Druscilla (Berger) Thiebeau. On Nov. 27, 1959, in Tazwell, Tenn., he married Dorothy Rhodes, who died July 28, 2008.

Survived by: son Richard (Mindy) Thiebeau of St. Marys, Ohio; three grandchildren: Shannon, Casey and Spencer Thiebeau; sister Connie Highley of Del Rio, Texas; sister Darlene Kruse of Vandalia, Ohio.

Preceded in death by: parents Robert and Druscilla Thiebeau, wife Dorothy Thiebeau, infant son Delbert Thiebeau.

He was a 1957 graduate of Blume High School in Wapakoneta, Ohio.

A veteran of the United States Navy, he served aboard the USS Saratoga. He retired from the Parker-Hannifin Corp. in St. Marys, where he worked as a "set-up" technician. He was a member of the St. Marys Missionary Baptist Church. His favorite pastimes included fishing and gardening.

Funeral services are scheduled to begin 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Marys Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Perry Mason and Pastor Alva Joe Daniel will co-officiate the services. Burial, with full graveside military honors, will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Visitation 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home (314 W. High St. Chapel) in St. Marys. Online condolences may be expressed via:
