UNION CITY, Ohio - Glen Richard Armold, 91, of Union City, Ohio, died the afternoon of Sept. 27, 2013, at The Heartland Center of Greenville.

He was born Oct. 29, 1921, in Darke County, Ohio, the son of Herbert and Jenny (Williamson) Armold. He honorably served in the US Army during World War II.

Richard, retired, was a farmer, had worked at Sheller Globe, but most recently had been in car sales. He was a member of the Orville N. Stover #158 of Union City, Ind.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Hilbert "Bud" Armold (wife Martha) of Union City, Ohio, Richard K. Armold (wife Wanda) of Union City, Ohio and Scott Glen Armold (wife Dede) of Goshen, Ind.; a daughter, Jennifer Sue Bonham (husband Virgil) of Goshen, Ind.; 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a wife, Dorothy Kathryn (Armstrong) Armold; one brother; and three sisters.

A service to celebrate Richard's life will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fraze-Brooks Memorial Chapel of Union City, Ind. Burial will follow in Union City Cemetery of Union City, Ind.
