Robert L. Zumbrun

GREENVILLE - Robert L. Zumbrun, 89 of Greenville, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2013, at 6:30 a.m. at Wayne HealthCare in Greenville, Ohio.

He was born Sept. 19, 1923, in Randolph County, Ind., son of the late John and Bessie (Smith) Zumbrun. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Zumbrun; a son-in-law; a grandchild; two sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and one nephew.

Robert was retired from Sheller Globe of Union City, a retired farmer, as well as a Gideon (Jail Ministry) for 51 years. He was a member of the Flying Farmers, attended Trinity Wesleyan Church, and was a donor to many Christian organizations.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ruth E. (Stullen) Zumbrun; five children, Cynthia (John) Fisher of Greenville, Tracy (Linda) Zumbrun of Greenville, Marcia Tucker of Harrodsburg, Ky., Tammy (Jim) Bolin of Greenville, and John Zumbrun of Union City; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.

Services will be held Thursday  at 1 p.m. at Trinity Wesleyan Church at 1400 E. Main St., Greenville. Burial will follow in Teegarden Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
