CLEARWATER, Fla. -Milton H. Arnold, 88, of Clearwater, Fla., and former Greenville, Ohio, resident, passed away on Jan. 6,2013, following a lengthy illness.

He was a veteran of World War II and earned the Purple Heart while serving with the United States Army in the European theater. He was an avid golfer, and loved to play bridge.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Arnold, whom he married on July 19, 1989, and also survived by his son, Michael H. Arnold and daughter-in-law Rita A. Arnold, both of whom live near Arcanum.

His first wife, Arlene Arnold, whom he married on March 27, 1945, passed away in 1988.

Memorial services will be held on Jan. 21 with interment in the Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Fla.
