GREENVILLE - John Frank Taylor, 81 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on June 26, 2014, at Physicians Regional Medical Center, Knoxville, Tenn.
He was born April 22, 1933, in Williamsburg, KY., the son of the late John S. and Grace (Bryant) Taylor. He worked for Hinton Construction in Celina for 17 years. He was a member of Church of God Mountain Assembly in Greenville, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Margaret (Teague) Taylor on Sept. 5, 2012, whom he married Nov. 24, 1951; daughter: Brenda K. Taylor; granddaughter: Amanda Sue Taylor; grandson; Jeffrey Wayne Burkhart; great-grandson; Jazen Leon Whalen; brothers: Archie, Clifford, Charles Ray, Chester, and Wayne Taylor; sisters: Aline Bunch, Lola Satterfield, and Lorine Taylor.
He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law: Homer Taylor of Greenville, and Ricky and Ann Taylor of Greenville; daughters and sons-in-law: Ava and Jeff Burkhart of Greenville, Madonna and Ed Lease of Greenville, Theresa and Tom Boseke of Greenville, and Margie Taylor of Hollansburg, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law: Glen and Dixie Taylor of Williamsburg, Ky., Denny Taylor of Mt. Vernon, Ky.; sisters and brothers-in-law: Alma Raines of Williamsburg, Ky., Ethel Morris of Richmond, Ky., Wilma Martin of Richmond, Ky., Lois and Russell Carr of Concord, N.C., Flora and Roy Teague of Greenville, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Rev. Willard Cole and Rev. Dennis Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
