GREENVILLE - Martha E. Lloyd, age 88, of Greenville, Ohio, and formerly of DeRossett, Tennessee, passed away at 5:35 a.m. Aug. 12, 2014, at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
Martha was born Feb. 12, 1926, in DeRossett, Tennessee, to the late Stanton Douglas and Martha Eunice (Young) Templeton.
Martha is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Edith and Kenny Sleppy of Greenville and Sheila and Ralph Barga of Greenville; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Brenda Lloyd of Englewood, Raymond and Linda Lloyd of Suffolk, Virginia, Gary Lloyd of Greenville and Tom and Jodi Lloyd of Drums, Pennsylvania; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Dorothy Templeton of Springfield and Bud and Loretta Templeton of Old Monroe, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Janet Honious of New Lebanon and Phyllis Hammond of Englewood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Martha was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Jr. Lloyd.
Martha was self-employed and was also a seamstress. She was a member of the Greenville Church of Christ.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Buddy Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery in Brookville. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice.
