GREENVILLE - Robert L. "Bob" Denlinger, 81, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Aug. 18, 2014, at 4:10 a.m. at the Covington Care Center
He was born on March 28, 1933, in Eldorado, Ohio, to the late Isaac and Martha (Loy) Denlinger.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Brimager) Denlinger of Greenville, Ohio, whom he married on Nov. 24, 1972; children, Cynthia (Lane) Abenroth of Bellevue, Washington, Darrell (Carinna) Denlinger of Arcanum, Ohio, Connie Jo Denlinger of Castine, Ohio, and Sharla (Jason) Graves of Indianapolis, Indiana; stepson, Lynn Laurendeau of Greenville; grandchildren, Abby, Amy, Angela, Jordan, Jamie and Belinda; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Russell (Carol) Denlinger of Union City, Ohio, Ray Denlinger of Greenville and Carl (Jackie) Denlinger of Eldorado, Ohio; sisters, Lucille Hutton of Florida and Maye Fern Stanze of Gratis, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Denlinger, and son, Gary Denlinger.
Bob was an avid bowler and golfer. He retired from the United States Air Force as a tech sergeant.
There will be a memorial service held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Dan Denlinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
