Othmar A. Osterloh

ROSSBURG - Othmar A. Osterloh, age 83, of Rossburg, Ohio, died Nov. 11, 2012, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, Ohio.

He was born Feb. 13, 1929, in Egypt, Ohio, to the late Aloys and Blanche (Meier) Osterloh.

On July 20, 1955, he married Jovita (Bertke) in Maria Stein, Ohio, and she survives Rossburg. He is also survived by six children, Tom and Linda Osterloh of Minster, Luke and Sharon Osterloh of Versailles, Marlene and Ron Pohl of Coldwater, Deb and Dale Albers of Maria Stein, Mike and Janice Osterloh of New Weston and Joe and Brenda Osterloh of Burkettsville, a daughter-in-law, Linda and Ed Dircksen of Minster, 21 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and brothers and sisters, Alma Puthoff of Coldwater, Rita Eilerman of Ft. Loramie, Jerome Osterloh of Piqua, Linus and Yolanda Osterloh of Canal Winchester, Ivo and Barb Osterloh of Minster, Alberta and Jack Rethman of Versailles, Irvin and Norma Osterloh of Arkdale, Wis., and Janice and Tom Wietzel of Pickerington.

He is preceded in death by a son, Bernard Osterloh, a sister, Laura Osterloh and two brothers-in-law, Norbert Eilerman and Ed Puthoff.

He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, the Men's Holy Name Society, was a former Eucharistic Minister, the Knights of St. John, Maria Stein, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Burkettsville.

Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home of St. Henry on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Memorials may be directed to State of the Heart Hospice. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
