GREENVILLE - Ronald E. Mowry, age 67, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 12, 2012, at Heartland of Greenville.
Ronald was born May 13, 1945, in Detroit, Mich., to Martha (Johnson) Mowry of Michigan and the late James Mowry.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Joan (Beard) Mowry, whom he married Aug. 4, 1977; children, Shelly and Barry Miller of Winchester, Ind., Ronald E. and Melanie Mowry of Greenville, Joe and Deb Atkinson of Lebanon, Tim and Kaylene Atkinson of McClure and Martie Wimberly of Englewood; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Sally Mowry of Michigan, Gary and Monica Mowry of Michigan and Jack and Val Mowry of Michigan; and sister-in-law, Delores Mowry of Michigan.
In addition to his father, Ronald is also preceded in death by a stepson, Russell Anthony Atkinson; and a brother, Dan Mowry.
Ronald served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Ronald retired in 2007 from Huntington Bank with 40 years of service in the banking industry. Ronald was very active in the Christian Motorcycle Association. He was a former member of the Greenville Lions Club.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 24 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Earl Wagner and Pastor Dale Boeger officiating. Burial will follow in Gettysburg Cemetery in Gettysburg with military honors.
