GREENVILLE - Carol Lee Pearson Bundschuh, age 67, of Greenville, Ohio, and formerly of Troy, Ohio, passed away Nov.13, 2012, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, following a courageous battle with leukemia.

Carol was born Jan. 27, 1945, in Darke County to the late Harry and Mildred Pearson.

She took great pride in her family and Darke County community. Through her years in Darke, Miami and Montgomery counties, she was an avid supporter of local high school athletics and activities. She passionately cheered on her daughters, nieces and nephews in their athletic and academic pursuits.

She was a committed employee of Miami Valley Hospital for nearly two decades where she last managed the Accounts Payable Department. She also formerly worked at Hazco in Dayton and Hobart in Troy, Ohio.

Carol is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and Harold Hardwick of Columbia, S.C., and Christy and Louis Goldner of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren Brandon and Kyle Hardwick and Isaac and Eliana Goldner; sisters Nancy (Pete) Hemer of Greenville, Judy (Doug) Baker of Greenville, Sandy (Mike) McClurg of Versailles, Linda Rentschler of Dayton and brother Mike (Rosie) Pearson of Versailles; 14 nieces and nephews; and 19 great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Greenville, Ohio, on Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. with The Very Rev'd R. James Larsen officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church beginning at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for memorial contributions to be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, or to the Cancer Association of Darke County, Carol gifted her body to the Wright State University School of Medicine.

The family would like to thank Carol's doctors, nurses and valued staff of Miami Valley Hospital for their compassionate care during her last illness. Condolences for the family may be expressed through Carol's facebook page.
