Daphna Irene Robinson, age 96, died at 11:30 p.m. on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Westside Rehab and Health Care, West Frankfort, Illinois.

Daphna was born December 8, 1916 to Frank and Nellie Adams, in Berry's Ferry, Kentucky. She met and married Joyce Van Robinson of Golconda, Illinois. In 1965, the Robinson's moved to Elgin, Illinois. Daphna described herself as a homebody who loved cooking and country music. She was a Discharge Coordinator at the State Mental Health Center and retired in 1981.
Daphna is survived by her six children, Bonnie Swader of South Elgin, IL; Carol (Mark) Beck of Lowell, IN; Leon (Marlene) Robinson of Springfield, IL; Cliff (Amy) Robinson of Jacksonville, FL; Earl (Lynn) Robinson of West Frankfort, Il; Peggy Rogman of Ft. Meyer, FL. She is also survived by brother, Huey Adams and one sister, Faye. Daphna is also survived by seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Mary Hall and Odeen Adams; brothers, Clifton and Dwight Adams; grandsons, Earl Robinson, Jr, Terry Wayne Robinson, and Daniel Swader.
Private graveside services will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Golconda, Illinois.
Union Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
