James "Icebox" E. Wilson, 58, of Pinckneyville and formerly of West Frankfort departed this life at 12:14 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2013 in Good Samaritan Hospital Mt. Vernon, IL.
James was born a son of Virgil and Joyce Wilson September 19, 1954 in West Frankfort. He was of the Baptist faith. He last worked in prefab building construction in Arizona.
James is survived by sons: Shawn and James Wilson; brothers: Jeff Wilson, Scott Wilson and wife Vickie, Shawn Wilson, and Greg Wilson and wife Susan all of West Frankfort and Paul Haggerty of Springfield, IL; sisters: Sherry Crofford of West Frankfort and Melanie Haggart-Hampton of Herrin; nieces: Mandy Hargett, Misty Powell, Jessica Powell, Lacy Wilson, Samantha Hampton, Raylin Hampton, Amber Wilson; nephews: Seth Crofford, Dustin Wilson, Zach Wilson, Aaron Wilson, Cody Wilson, John Zortz, Jr., and Wesley Haggerty; and also many great nieces and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services for Mr. Wilson will be held at East Fork Cemetery 11 a.m., Saturday, June 8, 2013.
Varis-Stone Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
