Mary Allois, 93, of Orient, Illinois passed away at 4:22 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Helia Healthcare in Benton, Illinois.

She was born January 10, 1920 in Orient, Illinois to Marco and Joann (Reshear) Pietrantoni.
Mary had never lived anywhere else before entering the nursing home and was awarded a plaque from the Orient Reunion Committee for this accomplishment. She was a longtime member of the Orient Church of Christ and was retired from Smoler Brothers in Herrin. She also was a member of the ""Orient Chicken and Dumpling Gang."" Mom was a very special lady and her family was her life. She will be missed by all of us.
She married Mario Allois on May 8, 1936 and to this union three children were born: Mario (Rita) Allois, Sandy (Wayne) Ellis, and Wayne Allois.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mario; granddaughter, Crystal Lynn Allois; brothers, Joe, Alfred, and Albert ""Bo"" Pietrantoni; sisters, Katie Jordan and Virginia Gass; and niece, Robin Masters.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandy and husband, Wayne Ellis of Orient; sons: Mario and wife, Rita Allois; Wayne Allois both of Orient; grandchildren: Joann (Scott) Sneddon of Benton; Jerry Barton of Orient; Terri (Greg) Akin of West City; Scott (Lori) Ellis of Herrin; David (Christine) Allois of Olney; Jayson and Lance Allois; great-grandchildren: Jenny (Tim) Ditch of Johnston City; Michael Good of Lincoln, NE; Dustin (Michella) Griffith of West City; Morgan (Autumn) Allois of Olney; Eden, Lyra, and Skylar Ellis of Herrin; several nieces and nephews including Tom (Thelma) Pietrantoni; Tammy (Duane) Essex; Lavern (Barb) Gass all of West Frankfort; John (Margaret) Gouse of Herrin; and dear friend, Lebera Pyle.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort, Illinois with Pastor Jason Ishmael officiating. Visitation will be Friday, June 28, 2013 at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be at Denning Cemetery on the Orient Road.
