I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Mr. Micek, but if he was anything like his wife, he was a gem. I had the good fortune of being in Mrs. Sarah Micek's Algebra I class at Calle Mayor Middle School in the early ‘90s. I have always remembered her fondly as one of the kindest, most patient, and most effective teachers I have ever had. Mrs. Micek and family, please accept my heartfelt sympathy at your loss. You are in my thoughts and those of other former students, I'm sure.
Sincerely,
Alexis Grant
