Conrado Del Rosario, USN Retired

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Conrado peacefully passed away with the family by his side. Conrado was born in Tanza, Cavite in the Philippines. He joined the US Navy
in 1946 during the tail end of WWII
. He faithfully served 20 years before retiring from the Navy and working for the State until his second retirement. During his time in the Navy, Conrado earned several Medals/Awards including the China Service Medal, Bronze Star
in Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Conrado was a beloved man and amazing chef. Everyone who knew him, loved him for his selflessness and ability to whip up an awesome Prime Rib, Navy Bean Soup or Chicken Ala King. Conrado enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling around the world and spending time with his good friends.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Justina and his three children, Rudolf (Lynn), Conrad Jr. (Gloria) and Rosemarie (Mark). Conrado also leaves behind his six treasured grandchildren Gregory, Ian, Kate, Jessica, Sydney and Emily.
A remembrance reception in honor of Conrado will be held at All Souls Mortuary in Long Beach on Thursday June 5th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a vigil mass and rosary at 6:00 p.m. A funeral mass at 8:45 am will be offered on Saturday June 7th at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Carson, followed by interment with military honors at All Souls Catholic Cemetery in Long Beach.
