Gary Bloomstadt Sr.

Gary Adair Bloomstadt Sr.
Gary was born on February 21, 1929 in Harvey Illinois; he passed away at TMMC on October 31, 2013. He is survived by his wife Violet (Dolly) of 54 years; his sons Gary Jr. (Donna), Greg, Kurt (Linda), Eric (Chelsea); daughter Carissa Snedeker (Brad); and six grandchildren: Alison, Derek, Michael, Josiah, Christopher and Kyle. Gary is an Army veteran, graduated from Northrop Aeronautical Institute in 1962, worked for North American (Rockwell International) for 35 years as a flight test engineer, and volunteered in the ER at TMMC for 23 years. Gary had a pilot's license; his passion for aviation started as a young child. This was passed on to son Greg (who built his own airplane) and Gary was there for the first flight. His love for his wife, family and friends was second to none. Many of his friendships over the years developed while on the tennis court, some over 45 years ago and still continue today. We all love you very much and miss you. Services will be held at Rice Mortuary, 5310 Torrance Blvd, Torrance CA at 2pm on Saturday November 9, 2013. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Torrance Memorial Health Care foundation for the "Volunteer Dept. towards the Healing Garden" (310-517-4703).
