Gilbert Gonzalez

A lifelong resident of San Pedro, born October 16, 1925 to Jose and Paula Gonzalez, passed away December 9, 2012. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Navy. He retired from the Department of Water and Power after a 30-year career. He then went on to retire from Juanita's Foods after an additional 10 years of work. He is survived by four children: son, Bill (Patricia) Gonzales; daughter, Kristine (Phil) Negrete; daughter, Virginia (Randi) Gonzalez; son, Steve (Darcie) Gonzalez; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Teresa and his grandson, Matthew Gonzalez. Viewing will be held at A.M. Gamby Funeral Home in Lomita on Monday, December 17 from 4-8pm with rosary at 7pm. Funeral will be held at St. Peter's in San Pedro on Tuesday, December 18 at 10:00 a.m. He will be placed to rest next to his beloved wife at Green Hills Memorial Park.
