Not sure what to say?

To my family, Daddy would have been so proud of us. They way we did his funeral. Tuesday before he died he had me write the letter and told me what he wanted. I sat in the front row, listening to Father Joe talking about our Dad what a great man he was. To see Lucy and Albert, then Rayanna and Daezon, then Anjanette and Jamal made me so proud. Paulette, Marilyn put their heart in it. Dwayne daddy's only son I know Daddy was smiling because I was smiling and glowing from within. He loved all of us and we have his legacy to carry on. I will miss you, I was told I would have moments when I would just cry. Today was that moment Daddy I will miss our daily talks daddy. I love you with all my heart.

Dwayne and the entire McDowell Family,

Please accept my deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences on the loss of your Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, my friend and Brother in Christ and the Knights of Columbus: James McDowell.

James served God, his country, his family and his church with love and honor and he was an outstanding, dedicated leader of Angel's Gate Council 1740, Knights of Columbus as a Past Grand Knight and more recently, Financial Secretary. Brother SK James was an inspiration to all Knights as he dealt with his illness with perserverance and grace. It was always a pleasure to see him at a KofC meeting or at a mass at Mary Star. It was an honor to have known him. Brother/SK James, is and will be greatly missed.

Matthew 21:25 "Well done, Good and Faithful servant!.... Come and share your Master's happiness!"

Brother James McDowell is in Paradise, joyfully sitting at our Lord and Master's table.

God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped his arms around you,
and whispered, "Come to me".
You didn't deserve what you went through,
So He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best
And when I saw you sleeping,
So peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
To suffer that again.
-Your father left you with loving memories and he will always be with you.
Love, Grandma Cindy & Grandpa Gerry
