Jess F.Cervantes lost his battle with liver cancer on January 25, 2013 at the VA hospital, Long Beach in hospice care. Jess was born in San Pedro on January 5, 1949, where he resided most of his life before moving to Norco, CA in 2007. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He received the Bronze Metal for service above and beyond. He is preceded in death by his father, Marcelino Cervantes; brother, Mario Cervantes. Survived by mother, Valosia P. Cervantes; son, Jess Cervantes "JC"; daughter-in-law, Wendy Cervantes; 3 grandchildren, Daylyn, Ashley and Reina Cervantes; sisters, Katie Chavez (Danny), Cynthia Sanchez (Steve), Nancy Cervantes, Susan Ellis, Yvonne Lopez; brother, Richard Cervantes (Evelinda), and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and many loving friends.
