Lois Lee Bargar
Lois Lee Bargar, 75, of Torrance passed away peacefully, at home, with family by her side on Friday, April 11, 2014. She was born in Los Angeles, CA. on June 11, 1938, to the late Kenneth and Marjorie Hoffman. Lois graduated from Inglewood High in 1956. She married Robert A. Bargar in Las Vegas on July 13, 1957. Lois was a part of the PTA, Torrance American Boys Baseball, South High Boosters, worked for TUSD for 30 years, and was a proud member of the Gabba Bites. She loved being a mom grandparent, and attending grandchildren's sports games and activities. Lois was a loving mother of 5 children; Greg (Nancy) Bargar of Tucson, Bruce (Lisa) Bargar of Torrance, Kirk (Su) Bargar of Canyon Lake, Scott (Laura) Bargar of Torrance, and Shannon (Chris) Roosen of Torrance. She is the proud Grammy of 12 grandchildren; Amy, Christopher, Kevin, Aaron, Kyle, Taylor, Cassidy, Blake, Robbie, Sabrina, Lexi Cade. 5 great-grandchildren; Kyler, Caydance, Brody, Ryleigh Kamden. Pets; Leila, Kitty Lulu. Memorial Services will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Redondo Beach, CA on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 1:00 pm; with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to TrinityCare Hospice-Torrance or Humane Society of the United States. Lois was always one of my favorite in our large group of girls in class of '56. I was so fortunate to be able to spend some time talking with her at our 50th Reunion. She loved her life, being a wife, mother and grandmother. My sincere condolences to you, Bob, and your entire family.

I wasn't in touch with Lois and Bob since graduation in '56, but Lois was a friend in school whose face always popped into my mind when remembering good times. What a smile! I know she will be missed. My deepest condolences to the family.

Lois was a special friend from elementary school thru high school. We rode the city bus together from jr. high and high school. It sounds like she had a fulfilling life.

To Bob and all the Bargar kids: I am so sorry for the loss of your wife and mom. She was such a special lady and truly one-of-a-kind. She opened her heart and home to so many.
